2. What is sold

The ebook Before You Land in Japan: A Tokyo concierge's handbook for your first trip, by Mariko Aono, supplied as one PDF file of 382 pages (the "ebook"). Its contents are described on the product page. It's digital content supplied without a physical medium.

3. Price and payment

The price is shown in US dollars on the product page and on the checkout page, and includes any sales tax or VAT that applies where you live. Payment is taken in full at checkout through Stripe, by card or another payment method Stripe offers in your country. Your bank may charge a currency conversion fee. That fee is outside the seller's control.

4. Order and delivery

The contract is formed when your payment is confirmed. The ebook is delivered immediately afterwards through a personal download link shown on screen and sent to the email address you gave at checkout. You can use that link up to 25 times. If you need it again, use the help page.

5. Right of withdrawal

Consumers in the European Union normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. For digital content that isn't supplied on a physical medium, this right doesn't apply once supply has begun with your prior express consent and your acknowledgment that you lose the right of withdrawal (Article L221-28, 13° of the French Consumer Code, implementing Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU).

At checkout you're asked to confirm that you want immediate access to the ebook and that you acknowledge losing your right of withdrawal. The purchase can't be completed without that confirmation, and it's repeated in your confirmation email. Sales are therefore final once the download is made available.

6. If the file doesn't work

This doesn't affect your legal guarantee of conformity for digital content. If the file doesn't arrive, is damaged or won't open, write to us through the help page. We'll supply a working copy and, if we can't, refund you.

7. Your license

You receive a personal, non-transferable license to read the ebook and to print it, in whole or in part, for your own use. You may not share, resell, upload or distribute the file or the download link.

8. About the information in the ebook

The ebook is a practical travel guide. Prices, fares, rules and timetables change, which is why each figure is printed with the date it was checked and its source. Check time-sensitive information, and anything concerning entry, customs, medication and health, with the official authority named in the ebook before you travel. The ebook isn't medical, legal or immigration advice.

9. Liability

The seller is responsible for supplying the ebook as described. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.

11. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law, without depriving you of the protection given by the mandatory rules of the country where you live. Before any other step, please contact us at support@marikoaono.com. We'll try to resolve any problem quickly.
